Houjicha - Organic

Organically grown on a tiny farm high in the hills of Uji! This Houjicha is plucked from the last tea leaves of the season so they are fuller. They are then  steamed, dried and only slightly roasted. 

A rich roasted scent, light caramel color and very low caffeine and tannin level tea - Ahh NOT the Average Houjicha is created! 

This is often the first green tea children drink - I was told many times in their bottle! The tea most enjoyed by older or “fragile” adults yet also very welcomed as a comfort tea by young adults. Feel free to enjoy well into the evening without disturbing sleep!
